Tribute To Joe Shuster

This was done for the Shuster awards on the occasion of Superman's 70th anniversary. I'd just finished doing a presentation in my History of Comics class at Max the Mutt, so this piece felt especially poignant.

Civilization Gone

A reference photo had barely been clipped when this job came up - the photo so perfectly fit my mental conception of the wreck of civilization (combined with the ubiquitous zombie) that the piece practically drew itself. Sometimes ... only sometimes ... it goes easy ...
