Gladiator Concept 1 - ACAD 10

No reference was used, except my memory of the basics of the Roman concept: large helmets to hide the face of a possible friend, scanty body armour to allow for bloodletting, and relatively short weapons so you have to get in close ... and fight!

This a comics page, adapting the famous sequence from Dracula, where Harker first enters the abode of the thirsty count. I worked this up from a thumbnail - to a 1/2 up - and then to this finished page, and let my 2nd year layout class at MaxtheMutt give it a good critique. When I get a spare minute I'm going to do another page for this years class - fingers crossed.
